MoveUp Euro Cup In Prishtina

MoveUp Europe Cup Brings Together Participants from Kosovo, Romania and Italy in Prishtina

At the end of April, Prishtina became the meeting point for participants, coaches, and project partners from across Europe as the MoveUp Europe Cup took place over three inspiring days in Kosovo. Hosted by the Kosovo Football Federation, the international tournament brought together teams from Kosovo, Romania, and Italy – three partner countries involved in the European MoveUp project.

More than a sporting competition, the MoveUp Europe Cup showcased the project’s commitment to promoting inclusion, healthy lifestyles, and active ageing through adapted sports. Participants aged 45 to 65 had the opportunity to engage in friendly competition, build new connections, and share experiences in a welcoming and motivating environment.

The event highlighted the core mission of MoveUp: encouraging regular physical activity among men over 50 and women over 40 who suffer from chronic conditions, live a healthier life through adapted sports such as Walking Football, Walking Basketball, and Catchball. The project creates accessible opportunities for individuals to stay active regardless of their fitness level or health condition.

Throughout the tournament, participants demonstrated how sport can become a powerful tool for improving physical health, mental wellbeing, and social inclusion. Matches were played in a spirit of respect, teamwork, and enjoyment, reflecting the values that guide the MoveUp initiative.

The MoveUp Europe Cup in Prishtina represented another important milestone in the project journey, demonstrating the positive impact that adapted sports can have on individuals and communities. As MoveUp continues to grow, the project remains committed to inspiring more people across Europe to embrace physical activity and enjoy the benefits of a healthier and more active lifestyle.
